Sonesta Select Scottsdale at Mayo Clinic Campus

First time staying at the Sonesta hotels. We love the hotel. Very clean and welcoming. Great room However, our TV in our suite did not work. We were across the fitness center and hear the door closing very late and early morning multiple times. It woke us up each time. Great staff in the evening especially the lady working the restaurant.

The location, the staff, and the pet friendly policies are the primary reasons for giving this hotel a high rating. The staff seem like old friends. My dogs couldn't walk far because of Scottsdale heat, but during our mornings out, but we saw quail, rabbits, chipmunks, and a coyote. There's a nice nature trail between the Mayo and the hotel (but there is a rattlesnake warning). While there's a lot of quiet space around the hotel, great restaurants and shopping are a couple of miles away. The Mayo, which is a few hundred yards away, has a good cafeteria. The hotel has a restaurant (elevated snack bar/Starbucks) with limited hours), which is good when you're too tired to drive a couple of miles for great restaurants.

This hotel is nicer than a typical midrange chain hotel. It's very clean and the staff is very accommodating. I had am appointment at the Mayo Clinic which is next door so the location was great. There are many restaurants and shopping nearby. The room had a sliding door onto a little balcony which a nice view.

I liked that the hotel was located only a few blocks from the Mayo Clinic. The room was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The bed and pillows were also very comfortable. I'll definitely be staying here again, especially since I'll be visiting the Mayo Clinic every 6 months.
